What’s a mothers circle?

Conscious & Calm mothers circles are a safe and nurturing space where you can be yourself and express what you need in confidence and without judgement. They are a place where you can feel held in dealing with the challenges you face in this phase of your life, connect with others and build your support system of like-minded women. Our circles offer you time to unwind and relax and give you the chance to practice exercises designed to help you find moments of peace that you can use in your day-to-day life

What to expect

When you arrive you will be invited to come and make yourself comfortable in your place in the circle whilst we wait for everyone to get settled. We will open the circle with a short relaxation or grounding exercise to help switch off from the outside world and the busyness of the day. There will be a different theme each week, each designed to help you grow and develop your ability to connect to yourself and feelings of calm. There will be a chance to talk and express how you’re feeling and any difficulties you’re experiencing but there is no expectation or obligation to talk if you don’t want to. We end each circle with a short exercise designed to help you to relax, unwind and feel ready to continue on with your day with a sense of ease and flow. There will be some time for tea and informal chat afterwards for anyone who would like it.

What to bring

You will need to bring a yoga mat or blanket to sit on and a notebook to write in if you think that will be helpful. Make sure to bring comfy clothes and something warm that will help you feel comfortable whilst sitting
