+ Understand the neurobiology behind self-criticism and practice tools to develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself
+ Be supported and guided in a nurturing space with like-minded parents
+ Empower yourself with new tools that will help you feel more relaxed, confident and supported
+ Improve your mental health and feeling more able to support your family with theirs
This therapeutic group will help you understand the impact that being self-critical has on your mind, body and those around you. You’ll have space to explore how this pattern emerged and learn practical and effective tools to help you develop a kinder and more compassionate relationship with yourself
Developing self-compassion will improve your mood and help you feel less anxious and guilty about things outside of your control. It will give you confidence to deal with life’s challenges, help you to step out of your comfort zone and feel more empowered to be your authentic self. It will help you feel more self-connected, allow you to find acceptance with all of your parts, hold space for your difficult emotions and be more able to hold space for your children’s too.

This course is for you if you:
- Have a tendency to blame yourself, give yourself a hard time or “beat yourself up” when you get things wrong, make mistakes or feel like you’ve let yourself or others down
- Find it hard to hold space for your kids big emotions, lose your patience and snap at your kids more than you want to
- Often feel tired, alone, unsupported and disconnected from yourself
- Often feel guilty, anxious or down, believing that you’re not good enough or are letting your children down.
- Ignore your feelings and what you need and instead “just get on with it”

How it works
This short course is an introduction to the theory and practice behind developing self-compassion. Over 4 weekly sessions you’ll learn simple and practical tools that will help you and your family experience the benefits of a kinder and unconditionally self-compassionate relationship. The sessions take place in a small group of like-minded parents, in a relaxed, non-judgemental, confidential and nurturing space.
The practical exercises are designed to help you to develop self-compassion and the ability to feel calmer, more connected and supported so that you can be the parent you want to be and respond to your children the way you want to.
What to bring
You will need to bring a yoga mat or blanket to sit on and a notebook to write in if you think that will be helpful. Make sure to bring comfy clothes and something warm that will help you feel comfortable whilst sitting.
